Has something to do with DHT(testostone related) in the scalp that poisons the hair follicle and eventually kills it.

His only hope is to start rogain immediately and continue it for as long as he wants to keep his hair. Better to start it before you REALLY need it.

Hey, bald is beautiful! My husband started losing his hair in his late teens. He shaves it now though. Be sure he knows you'll love regarless of the amount of hair he has on his head. It doesn't change who he is. If it looks funny, he can shave, like mine. I love it. He looks but better completely bald! But thats just me!

if he has the head for it, shaving is the best thing.

i lost the hair on top by the time i was 24. genes can really be a bad thing. unless you want to fork out big bucks for transplants or something, there really isnt much you can do.

Ok. Here is the deal.

First of all, see the obvious vicious cycle. You lose some, you get stressed, you lose more. You get more stressed, you lose even more. So number one, learn not to stress about it. One key to success in life is learning to be happy in any circumstances.

Next, I have pretty much decided, after success in many endeavours, including stopping hair loss, that genetics are way overrated as a cause for problems. So, look at this as solvable without some major medical breakthrough.

Next, some types of foods are full of hormones like beef and others are produced using hormones like milk. So, be careful what he eats. Could eat less of them or organic and free range. It might be a good idea for both of you to watch caffeine as well.

Ok, now for some deeper, cool stuff.

Many problems are caused by negative ways. If you use negative ways to try to solve problems, you create more discomfort. So, one great thing you and your husband could do is change your ways. One big key, hating anyone makes you sick, causes cancer, heart disease and hair loss.

Maybe this will help explain it. What you do on the outside is what you do in your body. So, let's say you kick people out of your life when they act up. Well, you kick your hair out when it acts up. If you punish your kids when they act up, you will punish your body when it acts up. The problem is, when you consider it, that punishing yourself makes you sicker, or balder or whatever. Gee, then you could even punish yourself some more. Yikes! It will just get worse.

Another way to look at it, is this. If you freak out, you will freak the hair right out of your head.

A spouse can help by not freaking out either.

Fear also contributes to problems.

So what is an alternative?

Learn to solve problems by resolving situations and working things out. Always use positive approaches, with each other, with kids, even with people who really mess with you. Watch your health improve, and the hair grow back. Mine is.

While there is more to this, that is a good start.
