I have two love birds and lately they both been losing alot of hair and i wanna know why?

Why do they have hair? They're probably just molting. Or in your case, shedding.

I have two love birds and lately they both been losing alot of hair and i wanna know why?

they dont have hair number one , and number 2 they r board, spray them with water kinda a mist...

I have two love birds and lately they both been losing alot of hair and i wanna know why?

They're probably moulting. Birds replace their feathers every year or so as the old ones become tattered. The feather loss should be fairly uniform and evenly distributed over the body; if they're missing feathers in just one area they may be pulling their feathers out for some reason. In this case you should take them to your avian vet to see why and how to help stop it.

Moulting is perfectly normal and natural. And messy. Feathers end up everywhere!

I have two love birds and lately they both been losing alot of hair and i wanna know why?

maybe he sick or getting old.

I have two love birds and lately they both been losing alot of hair and i wanna know why?

birds don't have hair.they have feathers. it isn't rocket science.

I have two love birds and lately they both been losing alot of hair and i wanna know why?

If your bird has 'hair' it should be thoroughly studied in a laboratory. :)

I have two love birds and lately they both been losing alot of hair and i wanna know why?

1. If they are losing feathers but growing in new ones at about the same rate, then it's likely a regular molt, though it can be caused by dry skin, in which case, give them a daily shower with a water bottle. Some even like to take a luke-warm shower as long as you're careful

2. If they are losing a LOT of feathers and developing bald patches, it can be one of two things. Sometimes parasites on the skin will cause irritation and feather loss. Look the birds over for ticks or other external parasites. It can also be caused by a nervous behavior known as feather plucking. Watch them closely, are they pulling out their own feathers? If so, they would need to be temporarily separated and given cone collars in order to break the habit, then observed carefully.

I have two love birds and lately they both been losing alot of hair and i wanna know why?

If it isn't feather plucking or a disease like the others have mentioned, your lovebirds must be moulting.

Birds go through a period of moulting (shedding alot of feathers) once in its first year and about once in two years afterwards. Moulting takes about 2 to 6 weeks, and you must take a little extra care for them, as they will be slightly less immune to illnesses.

I think a good example in understanding what moulting is to birds is when us women have our periods. We tend to feel awfully tired and have additional burdens like headaches and problems with our digestive system, right? It is very much like that for the birds.

Keep them warm, let them have alot of rest, let them listen to relaxing music, talk to them and make sure the food and water are always fresh and clean.

Hair loss and thinning hair?

I am 24 years old hair thinning at the top ( 3inches by 3.5 inches). The hair on top of my head is very thin now, and u can almost see through to my scalp.

i have no idea i was balding until last week i went to have my hair cut he told me i was balding.

how can i reverse this any products to regrow hair

i heard some products i have to use life time to have my hair

how effective is hair implants and cost is there any side effects

it cant be hereditary because my elder brother 27 yrs he has full hair.

finally why men lose hair in the front both sides like a v shape

example http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0112864/S...

can a person grow hair again in this area by implants

Hair loss and thinning hair?

dont fight it

Hair loss and thinning hair?

Just because your brother doesn't have thinning hair doesn't mean you won't. You have to look to your mothers side and only your mothers side of the family. If anyone on her side of the family has thinning hair, chances are you will too.

I'm not sure about products or implants or things like that but you can definitely try it out. Maybe you should talk to a doctor or a dermatologist and he/she can recomment something for you. Make sure you research completely before you settle on a decision.

Hair loss and thinning hair?

actually i have the same situation as u, and its going to drop off everything. I have no money to go for hair implanting centre. But its still lucky for me enough for me though. I got a shampoo made from chinese medicine and it really works well. 2nd time using it stops the hair from dropping.. If u r interested of the product maybe u can email me.... good luck

Hair loss and thinning hair?

I have a friend who has the same problem. I think you need to see a doctor.

Hair loss and thinning hair?

Just because your brother has hair doesn't mean you will. It is heredity. You can't reverse it...just deal with it. The best way to disguise hair loss is to keep it short. Buzzed in the back where it is full and leave the top longer. You can take Gelatin tablets to keep what you have healthy. Keep your fingers crossed that you have a nice shaped head so that when it's time to shave it all off you will still look good.

Hair loss and thinning hair?

I'm a woman and my hair is thin on top too. I have tried different shampoos and conditioners but they haven't done a durn bit of good and they are very expensive. About the only thing I found that worked was Rogaine and yes, if you decide to go that route (and if it works for you), it is a 2 x's a day process for the rest of your life. Once you stop using it, you will lose any hair re-growth.

As far as hair plugs, unless they have made major improvements recently, I think they really look bad! Like a favorite character of mine said "looks like they're doing crop rotation on their head!". Good luck with your research. I know how hard it is not to have a full head of hair, anymore!

Hair loss and thinning hair?

It is possible that you have alopecia. I don't think that you're old enough to be balding due to age already. Try to stay calm but see your doctor!

OR hair shedding could be caused by the discontinuation of hormonal estrogen and progesterone therapies for birth control or may be associated with the end of pregnancy.

Hair loss and thinning hair?

Heredity spans through generations you know? Those men with v-shaped front inherit them. I've seen some women too; I've also seen younger poeple living with this condition but the best thing to do is accept to leave with, love and manage what we cant change; like wearing a face cap or shaving your hair you can even create your style afterall, there is a school of thought that says that bald headed men are very romantic.

But try roots stimulating shampoo by Organics, then apply soft'n'free hair grow every day you'll see results before one bottle runs out. visit www.mmproducts.com. its very effective but cheap. Goodluck!

Hair loss and thinning hair?

About 50 to 100 milligrams a day of vitamin B6 taken for one or two months helps decrease hair fall. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair. Check out

he may have mange if he's not shedding.

My rottweilr mix is losing all his black hair?

Thryoid problem. I have seen it in both Labs and Dobies, so a Rottie probably is not much different.

My rottweilr mix is losing all his black hair?

it could be his diet and lack of nutrition or he just might be doing his normal twice a year shedding process if it does not stop in a couple weeks contact your vet to make sure he has no parasites

My rottweilr mix is losing all his black hair?

rotties can shed alot like shepards and labs, tiss the season, they tend to lose a lot of hair, if he starts having bald spots and itching alot i would have him checked out, they usually will do a skin scraping to check for mange or demodex mites.

Hair loss during pregnancy???

I have hypothyroidism and when my thyroid levels are below normal range I have a variety of symptons...losing hair..alot of hair is one of them. During my pregnancies, my doctors are sure to keep up with my thyroid with monthly blood work to adjust my meds if necessary. You might want to talk to your doctor about a thyroid function test. Hair loss during pregnancy???

Hi There,

It's pretty normal for a woman to lose hair during and after pregnancy. I am not a doctor but I do know a lot about hair loss. Put simply, I believe the cause of your hair loss is stress. Physical and emotional stress are normal during pregnancy. A woman's hair follicles are extremely susceptible to both physical and emotional stress.

I believe what you're experiencing is called Telogen Effluvium, which is a stress related hair loss. The hair loss usually sets in 4-6 months after the stressful experience. Fortunately, this is not permanent hair loss and victims can expect to their hair to grow back 6-9 months later.

Ever since receiving a hair restoration procedure back in July, 06, I have a documented my results at my blog, BattleAgainstBald.com. In addition to pictures and video of my procedures success I provide a wealth of information on hair loss, its many causes and the treatments available to correct hair loss.

Check out the blog, as I believe you'll find the "female hair loss" section helpful.

Best of luck and keep the stress level low.

Why do we have to lose scalp hair everyday? If we didn't lose it then I'm sure our hair wo

I just wish I didn't lose my 70-80 hairs a day because I am so worried that hair won't grow back.

Why do we have to lose scalp hair everyday? If we didn't lose it then I'm sure our hair would be thicker.

I have extremely long hair and i loose a lot but its okay. You are suppose to loose hair in order from your body to create more from your dead red blood cells. Thicker hair doesn't come from loosing it but rather your parents genetic makeup. The point I would start worrying about massive hair lose is when you loose giant patches and can see your scalp clearly. At that point I'd consult a doctor but don't worry about it until then. Brushing your hair too much can cause a lot of hair to come out. Try brushing less if you see it more due to over brushing.

Why do we have to lose scalp hair everyday? If we didn't lose it then I'm sure our hair would be thicker.

I was told that is does this because it is dead hair and new hair is coming in..

Why do we have to lose scalp hair everyday? If we didn't lose it then I'm sure our hair would be thicker.

Around 50 hairs per day is normal they say,There is a normal duration of each hair life ,once that finishes the hair keeps falling,%26amp; New hairs start coming,If you want to stop the hair fall, you can try this,Soak few fenugreek seeds overnight in water ,In the morning grind them ,%26amp; apply it for ur hair %26amp; leave it for 20 min,%26amp; wash it with water,Dont use any shampoo as it may leave ur hair dry,This mixture leaves your hair clean %26amp; shiny,%26amp; you'll see the difference in the hair fall ,If you can find fenugreek powder that is great, you can mix it with water/curd(well diluted) %26amp; apply,

How do i stop a6 year lab from losing so much hair?

Not only are labs big shedders, they shed all year long. I use a furminator on my lab. It works wonders. We take a time out every day to sit, relax, and enjoy a good brushing. I'm sure that adopting any sort of ritual grooming habit will help you. There are also shedding supplements out there. (I don't know that they do any good. I've never bothered with them.)

How do i stop a6 year lab from losing so much hair?

Unfortunately, you can't really stop it from loosing hair - Labs are big time shedders.

Keep the dog well brushed and keep an arsenol of lint rollers on hand!

How do i stop a6 year lab from losing so much hair?

You really can't. Make sure you're feeding a good quality food, give the dog either 1 tablespoon of veg. oil or a salmon oil capsule daily to make sure the coat and skin are in good condition. Other than that, brush daily to get the dead hair out.

How do i stop a6 year lab from losing so much hair?

Here's a few things you can try 1. Nutro Natural Choice dog food. Lamb and Rice formula. Nutro guarantees skin and coat - reduces shedding!! for A LOT of info and benefits check out nutroproducts.com.

2. Brush him/her once a day.

3. Don't bathe it so much. That tends to dry the skin out and causes flaking and hair loss from dry brittle hair.

But a healthy coat like us..comes from what is eaten. Start w/ Nutro.

How do i stop a6 year lab from losing so much hair?

I add a smidgeon of real butter or liquid vitamins, to my dog's food. Dogs need fat in their diet just like people do.

People don't realize that when they remove the fat from their diets they turn into walking dandruff balls with dull skin and hair that falls out. I can't see why animals would be any different.

How do i stop a6 year lab from losing so much hair?

I also have a heavy shedding dog and a few things seem to help, besides feed high quality food and brushing often.

- Give your dog some cod liver, salmon or flax seed oil supplement. I usually buy them in caplets, so the oil doesn't go bad and squeeze it out on their food. One of my dogs will actually eat the caplet with his food.

- Dog probiotics! Probiotics will replenish the good bacteria in your dog's stomach and will improve things like breath and coat.. I give my heavy shedders a probiotics formulated especially for excessive shedding! You can find these at your local pet supply store. I have noticed a big difference!

I hope this helps!

I have wavy hair. How can I make it straight with using a straightner or blowdrying it ?HELP!?

I have thick wavy hair. I want it straight. Isnt there a natural way to make your hair straight? I also want to lose hair(apart from thinning because i dont know how that works) i have started using soap and i lose a little hair that way but im afraid im ruining my hair HELP! isnt their a natural ways to make your hair straighter or to lose hair HELP PLZ!

I have wavy hair. How can I make it straight with using a straightner or blowdrying it ?HELP!?

Hmm... see I use both a blowdryer and a straightener on my wavy hair. If you ever change your mind, I highly recommend using a spiral brush when blowdrying and a skinny straightener for better results.

However, without those two, my best suggestion is to invest in hair straightening products. I use Sun Silk, and run it through my hair before blowdrying (highly recommend this stuff!), as it can also help with static-y-ness!

Also, try brushing you a hair flat after you towel dry it (it still being damp) and then use a spiral brush on it. With the spiral brush, pick up a clump of your hair and spin the bristles under the clump, while at the same time brushing it outwards. This may result in your tips curving inwards, but I happen to think that's rather pretty :)

This is what I normally do with a blowdryer, but it should still help!

Best of luck to you!

Anna

I have wavy hair. How can I make it straight with using a straightner or blowdrying it ?HELP!?

You should just try and buy some straightening products.

There's a product called "JAM!" I use and it's completely perfect.

I have wavy hair. How can I make it straight with using a straightner or blowdrying it ?HELP!?

hey put on the serum or gel and straighten your hair or go for straightining in the parlours

with blow dryer your hair will become rough and ull develop split ends so try avoiding it

if u wanna use it keep it 30 cms away from your hair.

I have wavy hair. How can I make it straight with using a straightner or blowdrying it ?HELP!?

sorry...i have asked myself the straight hair question for years!!

you could wrap your damp hair around really wide rollers and sleep.

or twist your hair and put it in a big bun.

but it will never be pencil straight.

the truth is you are going to damage your hair no matter what...whether by iron, or blower, or chemicals.

so you just need to minimize the damage.

if you blow or iron, then you must use a straigtening or heat cream to coat and protect your hair against the extreme heat.

if i want to straighten my hair, i make sure my hair is only damp by towel drying it.

then generally apply straigtening solution or protect heat product.

then blow dry with a brush that has soft bristles.

your hair must be absolutely dry or else it will poof right back up.

then apply an iron.

when finished, use a finishing cream to smooth it out and add shine

I have wavy hair. How can I make it straight with using a straightner or blowdrying it ?HELP!?

I guess you can use japeneese hair straighner. i dont know about it, but for know keep it wavy.

My daughter is 17 and seems to be losing alot of hair. I find clumps in the shower. What is causing

Is it possible that she suffers from anorexia or bulimia? When people have poor nutrition, they lose hair in clumps.

This could also be the case if she's decided to be vegetarian but her meals aren't properly balanced.

The link I give in the sources lists many other reasons why your daughter may be losing her hair, but I personally always think of eating disorders first when discussing teenagers and unusual health issues.

My daughter is 17 and seems to be losing alot of hair. I find clumps in the shower. What is causing this?

chemicals? like impure drinking water, hair colouring, chemical treatments eg perms

My daughter is 17 and seems to be losing alot of hair. I find clumps in the shower. What is causing this?

Have her thyroid checked. If that's not it run a drug screen for heroin.

My daughter is 17 and seems to be losing alot of hair. I find clumps in the shower. What is causing this?

I definitly would suggest seeing a doctor about this issue soon.

My daughter is 17 and seems to be losing alot of hair. I find clumps in the shower. What is causing this?

Stress can cause hair loss, also not eating healthy, getting enough sleep also can do it... Everyone has a time where they loose some of there hair, just make sure it's not too much... she might be needing a vitiman, try getting her a multi-vitiman and drink lots of water. Hope that helps.

My daughter is 17 and seems to be losing alot of hair. I find clumps in the shower. What is causing this?

I'm 17 years old and I lose A LOT of hair in the shower... I'm not balding at all and my hair is very healthy, so I don't think there is anything you need to worry about.. We lose a lot of hairs per day and don't realize it really until it comes off in your hands as you scrub your hair in the shower..

Don't Worry =]

My daughter is 17 and seems to be losing alot of hair. I find clumps in the shower. What is causing this?

go to the doctor

My daughter is 17 and seems to be losing alot of hair. I find clumps in the shower. What is causing this?

I am 20 and I think I'm losing alot of hair.Any suggestions to stop this?

I have high cholesterol and therefore I have long been not eating red meat, butter, yoghourt and not drinking milk..

Thank you..

I am 20 and I think I'm losing alot of hair.Any suggestions to stop this?

First of you need to see your PCP (Primary Care Physician), tell him/her all your health issues; your diet, any special medications your on, were on, any surgery, any family illness, and so on, and then depending on what he/she says you may want to c a dietician.

I am 20 and I think I'm losing alot of hair.Any suggestions to stop this?

i think that you are either not eating right or you are being stressed out. try relaxing. if that doesnt work, ask the doctor for medication

I am 20 and I think I'm losing alot of hair.Any suggestions to stop this?

You need to stop microwaving your head. It has been well established that radiation sickness will result in hair loss.

I am 20 and I think I'm losing alot of hair.Any suggestions to stop this?

or dont sweat it.

Think about it, its one less thing to worry about.

I am 20 and I think I'm losing alot of hair.Any suggestions to stop this?

Rogaine

I am 20 and I think I'm losing alot of hair.Any suggestions to stop this?

Another thing that you might need to be tested for is any thyroid problems. If your doctor has not already done tests for this, suggest it. It can cause hair loss if your levels are off. Another thing is that try switching shampoo every once and awhile. I use Neutrogena Clarifying Shampoo once a week while using Panteen Pro V the other days of the week and that helps with build up from other hair products (like hairspray, gel, ect.). Make sure you are eating properly as well. Get a well balanced diet (talk to a nutritionist about cutting cholesterol but not cutting the things you need).

If we lose 100 hair strands a day...?

then do we lose more than we can grow? because 100 hairs a day is somewhat a lot, and hair only grows .04 mm a day or 1cm a month

If we lose 100 hair strands a day...?

I know that's what everyone says, but I think 100 strands a day is a little bit exaggerated.

If we lose 100 hair strands a day...?

No, actually what ever hair your lose for the day the replacement is already there.

If we lose 100 hair strands a day...?

If 50 or less is loosing actually we wont notice.

If it is 100 or above certaintly it is noticeble.

Even 50 is a case of hairloss if it is on a daily basis.

Get a ceramic hair iron.. it's not supposed to burn your hair.. ot not as much at least. Make sure not to get those ones that you can put water in because they don't work well and they ruin your hair even more.

If that's not an option, try using a product that helps straighten out your hair or removes the frizz..you put it in your hair while you are showering. i think John Frieda makes good ones

If you want to wear your hair straight on a regular basis, I'd suggest that you invest in a ceramic flat iron and, of course, always use a product to protect your hair from heat damage.

I have wavy hair can any one tell me a way to straight it without getting any harmful effect.with out losing m

if your hair is that much wavy, the only solution for you is to :put your head horizontally on a table-i'm serious.then take a peace of your hair you want to straighten up and get it wet so it can be straight on the table.cover it with a towel and then just use an iron.it's not dangerous-many of my friends use it and it's effective, but still not bad for your hair.you just have to be a little careful, and you'll have a straight hair in no time!!

good luck!!

I have wavy hair can any one tell me a way to straight it without getting any harmful effect.with out losing m

Ceramic flat irons are really helpful to straighten hair. You can also use a straightening cream or spray before you flat iron it. Any type of heat is damaging to the hair, so I suggest no using it too often. I have curly/wavy hair, but it's thin and sensitive to heat and too many styling products. I have been wearing my hair naturally lately and it seems healthier. I've cut down how often I use the flat iron. You can also use the iron and try wrapping your hair at night to make the smoothness last longer. Good luck!

I have wavy hair can any one tell me a way to straight it without getting any harmful effect.with out losing m

USE A STraighter ironi it works well

I have wavy hair can any one tell me a way to straight it without getting any harmful effect.with out losing m

you could use gel a coulple times-or you could use straightning gell-it doesn't matter if its girls stuff it will still straighten your hair-if your a boy or girl. So you could also straighten it with a flat iron. but i wuldn't recomend it. because im sorry but that is a girl thing! use one if you please but be prepaired for split ends and fuzzy/frizzynish if you don't use if correctly. and if your hair isn't that great it will fry it out-so don't. !!!!!!!**

Lab/golden mix losing large clumps of hair, just shedding winter coat or is this a concern?

I just adopted a dog from the humane society whom they said was a black lab/golden retriever mix. (she is long haired) I got her in Feb. when it was cold and she did not shed. In the last two months I have filled 3 garbage bags full with the hair she has shed and it just keeps falling out. she is on a cheaper brand of food then before...could diet be the cause, illness, just the season? Any solutions?

Lab/golden mix losing large clumps of hair, just shedding winter coat or is this a concern?

It's likely just the season.

How old is she? It could be her age because alot of dogs go through a stage where they loose their puppy hair and get harder adult hair. At this time, big clumps of hair can come out.

When my golden retriever lost her puppy hair, we filled bags and bags of hair. She looses alot when the seasons change to.

I wouldn't worry about it, but if you are concerned, then take her to a vet just to get checked out.

Lab/golden mix losing large clumps of hair, just shedding winter coat or is this a concern?

go take it to the vet sounds like some infection to me

Lab/golden mix losing large clumps of hair, just shedding winter coat or is this a concern?

It is just losing its winter coat.My two dogs, cat, and rabbits are doind that too.No concern!:):):):):):)

Any one else losing alot of their hair?

My hair is down the middle of my back and I take a vitamin every day. Its maybe its cause of the weather change?

Any one else losing alot of their hair?

Stress, or depression maybe, call your doctor.

Any one else losing alot of their hair?

Thyroid problems and stress can both cause abnormal hair loss.

Might want to get that checked hon. Do you dye it alot or get perms? That can add to the problem too.

Any one else losing alot of their hair?

i don't know maybe its just what ur eating. don't listen to the comment bout ur going bald. gosh im eleveen and i lose like 9 strands a day or just a little more.dont worry

Ure answers will be greatly appreciated...

I just wana know that if u take supplements like testerone boosters, tribulus or zma, will it make u lose hair?

My brother started using things like that, just so he could get bulkier for football.

Anyways, at 18 he started noticing his hair growing back slower and his hair started to thin out. He is using hair products now. I am 18 now, and I have more hair then he did at my age. Don't know if that helps, but I'm tossing it out there. =D

My 6 month old bull terrier is losing patches of hair throughout his body.?

He is not scratching at it it nor does it seem to be itching. What are some reasons this might be happening?

My 6 month old bull terrier is losing patches of hair throughout his body.?

Could be possibly due to allergies (are you feeding a dog food that contains corn?

However it sounds like demodectic (AKA puppy or red) mange to me. The mites are always present on a dog's skin, but dogs whose immune systems are compromised or not fully developed (like a puppy) cannot fight them off as they should. Easily diagnosed by your vet via a skin scraping; treatment consists of either a series of "dips" or oral pills. It looks horrible, especially in advanced stages, but surprisingly is not contagious.

If it is puppy mange you should contact the breeder you got the animal from as it is possible others in the litter are affected; also they should stop breeding a female who is possibly throwing immune-compromised pups...

http://www.animalhealthchannel.com/fleas...

My 6 month old bull terrier is losing patches of hair throughout his body.?

Sounds like mange to me. You should check with the vet, they have medication to cure it.

My 6 month old bull terrier is losing patches of hair throughout his body.?

thats strange I'd see a vet

My 6 month old bull terrier is losing patches of hair throughout his body.?

could be one of two things mange or poor breeding

My 6 month old bull terrier is losing patches of hair throughout his body.?

There's a possibility of mange (as described earlier) or it could be a deficiency in his diet that is affecting his coat. Either way you could visit your vet and if it's not mange and the vet doesn't offer any suggestions for his diet (or none you like -- remember, don't necessarily bet on your vet being an expert on every single thing, including nutrition) then you could do some research on all natural or raw diets. You don't have to necessarily switch to these diets unless you want to, but odds are you'll come across something that you can do for his coat. I'd offer some suggestions, but I can't remember any with guarantee of the top of my head.

Good luck with this.

My guess is mange, allergies, or a diet issue (in that order). Mange can be contagious, so it's important to get it diagnosed (or ruled-out) by a vet as soon as possible. Allergies and diet deficiencies can be treated with special food, medication, and/or supplements.

Good luck!

Do You Think I'll Lose My Hair?

My dad is 45 and lost a lot of his hair (although he kept it longer than most other men in his family) and most other men on his side of the family are bald, but all the women have all their hair.

My mother has all her hair, as does everyone else on her side of the family. I have hair like my grandfather on my mother's side.

Based on this information, do you think I'll lose my hair?

Also, does anyone know if that surgery where they move hair from the back of your head to the top of your head actually works?

Do You Think I'll Lose My Hair?

There are several forms of hair loss. If it is male pattern baldness (Androgenetic alopecia) then the hair loss cannot be fully cured in most cases, but just frozen for some time with the treatments availiable on market today.

1) Hair transplant (FUE technology) creates really natural hairline, no scars, the best way to go if you have enough donor hair and money of course.

2. Propecia (Finasteride) and Minoxidil are the only ones approved by FDA and proven to work in most men so far.

Generic Propecia (finasteride) is also ok. I use it with same results, and unfortunately same side efefcts(a bit dry feeling in the scalp) as brand propecia. Have tried lots of herbal crap before it and laser combs, so far the only thing that prevents my hairloss, not much regrowth, but has stopped my hairloss completely.

I buy from this pharmacy for the last 2 years - http://www.1rx.biz/generic_propecia.html . It is under $1 per pill for 1mg propecia.

But before you consider to start propecia you must really study about the side effects. It can mess your hormones real bad if you are not

lucky, so you must choose, hair or these side effects. Quite a big perecent have these side effects, more than Merck - the company that holds

Propecia trademark is saying. see the link for side effects stories www.propeciahelp.com

Enjoy life when you can!

For Frizzy hair.. these ussually work really good.. and i have some more tips at the bottom.. which are great for healthy hair... so good luck!

- Anything from the brand FrizzEase works preety awesome. So does Infusium 23 shampoos.

*Hair still frizzy? Take a curling iron to the top layers. It will only take a second, and the heat will zap the frizz out.

*1 advacado, and 1 tsp. Olive Oil. Mash the advacado, and add the olive oil. Mix. massage into hair, leave in for 20 minutes. Wash hair as you normally would. You can double this 'recipe' if your hair is exceptionally thick or long.

* Mayonnaise. Yeah, sounds pretty gross.. But it will make your hair smooth and soft. Apply it to hair, leave it in for 10-15 minutes Rinse out, wash hair as you normally would.

Washing your hair everyday damages your hair.. read on more tips below!

Having Hair Problems??!?!?

Take good care of your hair! It will add to your charm - who can resist a person with lovely, silky hair? So do try out the above tips! Hope these littles tips have been useful! :)

Tips To Stop Hair Loss %26amp; Keep Healthy Hair Here are some hair care tips that you can use to help stop hair loss and keep your existing hair healthy and looking great. Please don't take these tips lightly. They are very important . The only thing they require is your time and commitment.

- Massage your scalp with your fingertips (not your nails) daily to stimulate and promote circulation to your scalp and reduce excess fallout. Invert your head while you shampoo %26amp; massage your scalp. This helps promote blood circulation to the head.

- Essential oils %26amp; tea . To stimulate scalp circulation, massage the scalp with rosemary essential oil or rinse hair with tea made from sage.

- Comb or brush your hair and scalp gently in the morning and at night. This helps break up hardened oils (sebum) that are clogging your hair follicles. Doing this alone has produced new hair growth. Do not over do combing or brushing.

- keep a distance from dryer's heat. When using blow dryers, always keep the heat a good distance from your scalp and hair. Avoid heating the scalp and hair excessively. Excessive heat will increase hair loss, and excess fallout.

- Avoid getting hair creams, lotions, styling gels and sprays directly on the scalp as they will clog your hair follicles. Use a light hold spray if you must.

- After swimming in a pool, shampoo your hair as soon as possible to remove any chlorine residue. Chlorine is extremely damaging to the hair and scalp.

- Avoid over-exposing your hair and scalp to the wind and sun. Good hair care over a long period really makes a difference!

- Avoid tight hats and caps as they contribute to poor circulation, depriving the hair of proper nutrition and stunting new hair growth. The sweat, dirt and grime around the rim inhibit follicle health and contribute to build-up.

- Always consult your health care provider for extreme causes of excess fallout and thinning. A medical condition or medication could be causing hair loss side-effects.

- Strive for balance and harmony in both your personal and professional lifestyle. High stress factors can cause your body to react by fluctuating hormone levels. This in turn causes excessive oil secretion (sebum) which results in hair loss.

- Pregnancy, nursing, menopause, and even birth control medication can cause constant changing factors on your nutritional needs and hormonal levels which contribute to hair loss and excess fallout.

- Avoid "crash and fad" diets. Proper nutritious meals along with vitamin and mineral supplements are a key factor for healthy hair and skin.

- Good hair care starts with awareness. These hair care tips, if followed consistently, will reduce excess fallout, hair loss, and promote new hair growth.

- Reduce hair loss effects by increasing your intake of vitamin C found in fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly citrus fruit and juices, parsley, broccoli, green peppers and black currants. Take a vitamin B complex everyday or brewers yeast. Increase your intake of protein found in meat, fish, liver, wheat germ, dried cooked beans and peas, tofu, cheese, milk and eggs.

- Take dietary supplements such as Vitamin B6, zinc %26amp; saw palmetto. Supplements are useful when you can't get enough from natural food sources.

- The Chinese believe that hair is nourished by the blood, and therefore influenced by the kidney %26amp; liver. Treatment is aimed at these organs using fleece flower root, wolfberry fruit or mulberry fruit.

- Eliminate stress or else it can be disastrous to your precious hair!

- Get enough sleep. Sleeping well is essential for the health of your hair as well as for the rest of your body.

There are ways you can help stop the grease from appearing but you have to work at it.

Do not wash everyday. The cleaner your hair is the more it can seep into your glands and harder it is to get rid of. When you do wash make sure you are washing with a cleaning shampoo and scrubbing the build up off. Take in mind that you also have to have a ph-balanced mild shampoo and lite scrubbing is recommended. Try to avoid conditioner at the roots, apply in the middle or on the ends.

Try to avoid oil in your daily food intake. And do eat more vegetables. You could visit your doctor but only after you check and consider your diet, drugs, alcohol, and your fatty food intake. Let's face it we see what McDonalds can do to your heart in a month, can you image your hair. You would be dripping everywhere.

Maybe it's time to change your shampoo. Ask your stylist what she or he would recommend. Avoid using shine products at all costs. Keep away from two-in-one shampoos and conditioners and any frizz serums.

To fix at the moment, rub a little Talcum Powder on your dried hair at the roots. Just make sure you wash it out. I wish they would event that magic product, but this will help until they do.

Here are 10 tips for to keep your hair strong, smooth, shiny and beautiful!

1. Keep your diet balanced, and eat protein and calcium rich foods. Stay away from junk foods! This is essential for healthy hair.

2. Foods and supplements to nourish your hair:

* Beans

* Yogurt

* Almonds

* Vitamin B

* Fish

* And of course, the magic potion for beauty - WATER

3. Before washing your hair, comb it well to make sure all knots has been loosened from your hair.

4. Before applying shampoo, use warm water (35 to 38 degrees Celsius) to run through your hair to rinse and wet it thoroughly.

5. When applying shampoo or conditioner, don't use your fingernails to scrape through your hair. Instead, use your palm and fingertips to massage your scalp and hair gently, in circular motions. This will help the circulation and also help to keep your hair shiny and smooth.

6. After rinsing away all the shampoo, run water over your hair for at least another half a minute (3 minutes is best) to ensure there are no remains of shampoo remaining in your hair, since this will cause a great deal of damage to your scalp.

7. When applying hair treatment products, do so just after you have washed your hair, so that your hair can absorb all the good stuff while it is half wet. This will be the best time for it to absorb nourishment.

8. NEVER go to bed with your hair wet! Hair that is half wet is most easily broken, and if you sleep during this time, your hair will be rubbing against each other, damaging your hair in the most terrible way.

9. Too much pressure may lead to hair loss! Relax... try some good relaxation methods such as soaking in a nice scented bath, listening to music, and eating healthy comfort foods such as strawberries and grapes.

10. Perming and coloring seriously damages your hair. Avoid it as much as possible. Also, when using hair setting products such as gel or putty, use as little as possible, because they hurt your scalp and hair. Wash them out thoroughly afterwards with a shampoo specially created for removing styling products.

Well the picture isn't showing up. You could try head and shoulders [this will stop the flaking], or you can pour beer in your hair. I know beer sounds weird, but the barley helps rebuild damaged roots and tips. Beer might also make your hair a bit curly.

(picture)my hair is commiting sui-side..?pls help!?

have you delivered a baby recently? If so, this is a postpartum thing happening....you can not do anything for this.....It stops after few weeks though....If not, Its because of the dandruff...apply henna...I works absolutely good..adding egg in it makes your hair look shiiiiiiiiiiny...it stinks though...but once you wash your hair with shampoo..it goes....and BTW I cant see the picture....

(picture)my hair is commiting sui-side..?pls help!?

When I heard this I wanted to commit suicide! 15 grams! I suggest trying to go without chemicals for awhile try going vegan get plenty of exercise andI wish you the BEST of luck!

Eekerz.

(picture)my hair is commiting sui-side..?pls help!?

Well first off, even though it's kind of nasty...you should wash your hair less often. That'll help it grow back a little bit. Also try to not put it up. Use hair tie very rarely. Especially if they have metal clasps. They will break hairs and cause your hair to thin faster.

You should also give your hair a wamr oil treatment once or twice a week along with a homemade mixture. Mix together 3tbsp of Mayonaise, 1tsp baking powder, and 1tsp baking soda. Rub it into your hair after it has been washed and let it set for about 10 minutes and rinse.

I guess that's about all I have for you. Good luck!

(picture)my hair is commiting sui-side..?pls help!?

Since you have always had good hair, this temprory hair loss can be only because of 5 reasons

Diagnose your problem before Changing products and trying home remedies.

1) Poor Diet

2) Good Diet but Malabsorption by the Body due to frequent Stomach Disorders

3) You are taking Stress knowingly (Due to certain valid tensions in life)

4) Succumbing to Stress Unknowingly, Unnecesarily (Worrying about your hair all the time , Being Restless, Anxious)

You need to know if your anxiety and stress levels are high.

Simple test would be if you are nervous and fidgety , fatigued most of the time. Due do have problems in concentrating)

Problem 1 can be solved thru - Proper Diet and Mineral Supplements

Problem 2 - Identifying what causes Indigestion in ur body

Problem 3 and 4 - Calm Mind , Deep breathing, Daily Excercise, Being Aware when you are hit by stress.

5) Moderate Dandruff is not the reason for excessive Hair Loss.

If Dandruff is excessive , scalp becomes unhealthy , so oil ur hair and shampoo often. But oil will not make the dandruff go.

Also seek a good dermatologist's help for all the above 5 issues - and have ur problem correctly diagnosed.

All of these can be easily controlled ,you need not worry.

Thanks

This is normal....nothing to worry about.

and my cousin told me hair gel makes u lose hair/ bald spots and thinning hair.

is this true?

No. If you wash your hair on a regular basis and don't let the gel/mousse products buildup and plug the hair follicles...you're fine.

Hair questions?

i have teh same thing.

as long as your not losing liek a ton of hair you should be good

Hair questions?

Losing hair is normal...I don't put gel in my hair because it's not natural. I like organic products so I wouldn't know.

Hair questions?

It normal to lose hair on a daily basis, but most people overly brush there hair which cause breakage.

Does washing your hair everyday make you lose more hair?

This question goes to all girls with hair below shoulder length... does washing it every day cause you to lose more hair because you are bound to lose quite a bit when your hair is wet? However, sometimes I notice that if I were to skip a day, even more hair will drop when washed the next day compared to the amount I lose per wash when washed daily

Does washing your hair everyday make you lose more hair?

Its the strength of shampoo,

since i switched to baby shampoo it has reduced,

hair doesn't last forever, some is bound to fall out

Does washing your hair everyday make you lose more hair?

No, but it is no good for your hair.

Does washing your hair everyday make you lose more hair?

you lose about 100 hairs a day washed or not.

Does washing your hair everyday make you lose more hair?

k dont wash ur hair regularly once in 3 days is more than enough

I am 35 and have been losing LOTS of hair. I can pull out clumps almost daily.?

I am on a low dose birth control, had no injuries or surgeries. I do have tingling on top of my head. ??????

I am 35 and have been losing LOTS of hair. I can pull out clumps almost daily.?

you might have cancer or you might have genes where your hair falls out early

I am 35 and have been losing LOTS of hair. I can pull out clumps almost daily.?

You've got to go see your doctor. This could be serious skin condition or otherwise.

I am 35 and have been losing LOTS of hair. I can pull out clumps almost daily.?

sounds like a bad reaction to the birth control meds, tell your doctor as soon as possible about the tingling thats not normal, hopefully he will change you to another pill,

I am 35 and have been losing LOTS of hair. I can pull out clumps almost daily.?

it can be a side effect from the birth control or low iron. go to the doctor and have them take a look. better safe than sorry. you lose hair from chemo, not the cancer

I am 35 and have been losing LOTS of hair. I can pull out clumps almost daily.?

very good question,you need help.

talk to your health provider . your hair loss might have serious reasons.

if proven to be normal hair loss, there are good drugs for it now.

use minoxidil 5% (available in drug store withou perscription)or finasteride (prescribed).

you will benefit from them.

I am 35 and have been losing LOTS of hair. I can pull out clumps almost daily.?

Woman as well as men go through hair loss or "thinning". Because it is comming out in clumps I HIGHLY recomend you go see a doctor. Could be stress, diet, just had a baby/breastfeeding, bad perm, or somthing WAY worse. Don't ignore it. I wish you the very best.

I am 35 and have been losing LOTS of hair. I can pull out clumps almost daily.?

I would venture to say that this requires a visit to an indocrinologist to have tests run...first and foremost your thyroidneeds to be tested...a regular doctor can ask to have the tests done but you really need a specialist to determine what is going on here...Although, IF you have female relatives with male pattern baldness it could be hereditary..none the less it still requires and MD visit...nothing else will do.

I am 35 and have been losing LOTS of hair. I can pull out clumps almost daily.?

Hair loss can happen for many reasons

Long term depression and stress play a MAJOR ROLE

Diet: blood anemia for example can cause hair loss

Hair treatments like have u been using anything with strong chemicals. Or have u been warning ur hair in a certain style like daily? a style that pulls the hair

Also it can be genetic or if u have some hormone imbalance like when the male hormone exceeds the female閳ユ獨 it can cause hair loss.

Don閳ユ獩 let urself like that, go get urself checked

Do you lose your hair under general anaesthetic?

I need to have an operation soon under general anaesthetic and I'm terrified that I will lose my hair. I already have shed so much hair from illness recently; it used to be so thick and now it's seriously like 1/5 of the original volume and I'm just so depressed and devastated and I don't want to lose more.

I looked it up on the internet that you can lose your hair again from gen. anaesthetic and I would really like to know if any of you who have had operations experienced this in real life because I've never had an operation before. Thank you so much!

Do you lose your hair under general anaesthetic?

No, you cannot lose your hair from general anesthesia. Anesthesia affects the nervous system, not your dermis (skin layer that contains hair roots). I have had several operations and procedures where I have been under general anesthesia. The only side effect it had on me was being very groggy when I woke up, and then saying things I probably shouldn't have said. haha. Don't worry yourself sick, stress can cause hair loss. You'll be fine. I promise.

Do you lose your hair under general anaesthetic?

i have had numerous surgeries and never lost hair. thats silly.

Do you lose your hair under general anaesthetic?

I have not lost hair that way.

My cat is itchy and is losing patches of hair , he does not have mange or we would have it what coul

Your cat could have a few things. One thing could be flea allergies. Do you see scabby things on her? Look for fleas too, if you see a lot of fleas and the scabs very well could be flea allergy. If this is the case I would suggest going and getting advantage or frontline and maybe bathing the cat with an aloe shampoo.

2nd thing....have you changed foods lately? It could be a food allery as well some foods have a lot of dyes in them and filler products that can result in food allergies which makes the hair fall out, check the ears are they black and gunky this is a sign of food allergies as well as flaky bald skin. You need to change the food either go back to what you were feeding or try a hypo allerginic food suck as duck and potato the pet shop can tell you of some good ones.

3rd very well could be ring worm, which can be treated. You will need to go the vet and get an antifungal. They have pills or a topical that can be applied directly to the infected skin

My cat is itchy and is losing patches of hair , he does not have mange or we would have it what could it be?

My cat had this problem before she passed away this year. She was having a bad reaction to something. I took her to the vet and they gave her a shot. She got better for a while then started having problems with it again and I took her back for another shot. Worked again. Most likey its just something like that. Your best bet is to take him to a vet. Thats what they are there for. Good luck and I hope he gets better.

Oh and no my cat didnt die for being itchy and losing hair there was something else wrong with her after all of that.

My cat is itchy and is losing patches of hair , he does not have mange or we would have it what could it be?

Not sure what it is, but not all types of mange transfer to humans, so it could still be that. I would have the cat checked to make sure. An obvious reason could be fleas. The cat stcratching for the fleas all of the time will cause the hair to fall out where it's scratching.

My cat is itchy and is losing patches of hair , he does not have mange or we would have it what could it be?

my cat doing the same thing under her chin. i took the flea collar off and put medic an on it . it is fleas . all you have to do is call a vet or the pet store and ask what you can out on it . we did not have a cold winter last year and fleasand other bugs were will bad this summer .hope your cat gets better .

My cat is itchy and is losing patches of hair , he does not have mange or we would have it what could it be?

Your cat might have an overactive thyroid. Especially an older cat. It's easy to diagnose - just need a blood test.

Can anthing be done for female hair loss due to ungeractive thyroid? I take thyroxine but am still l

I've tried several products but none seem to work. I;ve noticed that although the subject of thyroid problems is sometimes mentioned, they all seem to shy away from saying whether the product works for this condition or not. Am I doomed to be bald? Please help.

Can anthing be done for female hair loss due to ungeractive thyroid? I take thyroxine but am still losing.?

You may to have your dose adjusted. I lost almost all of my hair when I was first diagnosed....so embarrassing. It took a little while to get the dosage right but now I have my very thick hair back.

Tell your doc about it and he/she should do another T4 to see how your levels are looking.

Good luck, I feel your pain, honey!!

Can anthing be done for female hair loss due to ungeractive thyroid? I take thyroxine but am still losing.?

You might have your Dr. prescribe a different medication...I am not familiar with that name I take thyroid medication and have had a lot of problems not with hair loss did lose some..my big problem is dizziness and weakness...He is going to start me on the kind that comes from a pigs gland. Funny I am not taking any at all right now and I feel great..Who knows

Can anthing be done for female hair loss due to ungeractive thyroid? I take thyroxine but am still losing.?

I was diagnosed hypothyroid 15 years ago aged 24 by which time my thyroid gland was non-productive. I had lost about two thirds of my hair. It did take a few years to get back to normal but once your levels are balanced it'll soon pick up. One thing I found very helpful was a Vitamin B supplement - Busy B with C from Holland and Barrett is pricey but excellent. It really made a difference to the condition and thickness of my hair and skin and also boosted my energy levels. Give it a try, and be patient. It will get better but it will take time.

Can anthing be done for female hair loss due to ungeractive thyroid? I take thyroxine but am still losing.?

Yes, thee is. It is called Armour thyroid. When I switched to it over 4 years ago, the hairloss stopped. The thinning areas have actually filled it as well. Below are links that will explain Armour for you. If you have any questions, I can be contacted through yahoo answers. Armour helps with symptoms such as; hairloss, brai fog, depression, fatigue, and muscle and joint aches

Can anthing be done for female hair loss due to ungeractive thyroid? I take thyroxine but am still losing.?

A continued loss of hair signifies a continued problem. Supplementing synthetic hormones is sometimes beneficial, sometimes not.

You may want to try natural hormone, or a combo of synthetic and natural with 2% T3, 98% T4 as a good range to start.

So that is how you change up your meds to see what works best.

You also need to find out what is causing the problem and try to manage that.

For example, if high levels of E1 estrogen are inhibiting the use of thyroid hormone at the cellular level by increasing the proteins that bind to thyroid hormone, then you would need to address that problem.

Even if you found that the medication helped your hair grow back and limit the symptoms of the thyoid hormone problem by creating more hormone that "pushes" through the problem, you would still want to get your estrogen levels in check, since these high levels can cause things like breast cancer, stroke, Alzheimer's disease, etc.

More info on hair loss and thyroid problems can be found at the links below.

Help, I am losing a ton of hair?

I just had a baby 5 monthes ago and I noticed that this past month my usually long and voluptious hair is thinning and falling out, I am really scared, Is this normal? I wash my hair everyday and I brush jusat like I used to , but now I get these klumps...like 10 strands of hair just easily falll off....

Help, I am losing a ton of hair?

something that helps is washing your hair every other day and it wont dry and damage your hair so much but alot of times that happens because of stress or tying your hair when its wet on while your sleeping.... hope this helps!! good luck!!

Help, I am losing a ton of hair?

You could search the internet for hair loss control products.

Or maybe it is a stress thing, maybe because the baby is a round. And i heard if you wear your hair pulled back it can cause hair loss. Hoped this post helped!

Help, I am losing a ton of hair?

go to the doctor and get a thyroid test. or just go to the doctor and tell him whats going on.

Help, I am losing a ton of hair?

What do you mean you are losing hair.

Help, I am losing a ton of hair?

It's normal to lose as much as 100-200 strands of hair per day; most of the time you just don't notice it, and some comes out while you're sleeping. Try using a gentler shampoo, and if it doesn't work within a couple of weeks, see a doctor.

Help, I am losing a ton of hair?

Its normal to loose hair after having a baby, but if your still worried I would suggest going to a doctor. Also, maybe taking prenatles would help and it wont harm your baby either. Just be careful about what you take and make sure you check with a doctor on any meds.

Help, I am losing a ton of hair?

stress can be a big factor believe me i know.

Help, I am losing a ton of hair?

Stress could be a possiblity for your hair falling out. Not getting the proper nutrition could also be a reason. But you should really go see a doctor. Also for women or men who have long hair it is not necessary and almost bad for your hair to have it washed everyday. You might think that is gross or something but washing it dries it out.

Help, I am losing a ton of hair?

This is normal process after giving birth. U r just shedding old and dead hair that grew and was replaced during your pregnancy. Don't worry and if this still doesn't provide any help see a dermatologist. They will assure u just the same.

Help, I am losing a ton of hair?

Pregnancy can take alot of vitamins out of you, maybe your hair has weakened a bit and is breaking off, keep taking your vitamins and see if that helps. On the other hand, it could be hormonal, in that case you should see your doc, just to rule things out so to speak. Good luck!

My Golden Retriever who is Female, loses her long hair?

My Golden Retriever Female, loses her long hair on her tail and elsewhere, making her look like a short haired dog. Then it grows back after awhile. Does anyone no why this happens. She is not fixed.

My Golden Retriever who is Female, loses her long hair?

You dont say how old she is but it may have to do with her hormones because she is not fixed. or she could have thyroid problems. Get her into your vets and have them run a thyroid blood test on her to check if she needs meds to help her out ok.

Oh and none of my females ever blowed their coats because they were about to go into or were in heat.

My Golden Retriever who is Female, loses her long hair?

All dogs do what is called "blow coat" females tend to do so about a month before they come into heat. This is normal.

My Golden Retriever who is Female, loses her long hair?

She is just shedding. She is most likely doing so right now because it is about to be winter and she is getting rid of her summer coat and growing in her full winter coat. Make sure you brush her daily to help with the shedding. However, if her hair is not growing back properly or anything like that- you should check with a vet to make sure it is not a health problem.

My Golden Retriever who is Female, loses her long hair?

its normal just what the man who posted the answer first said. also before summer they loose there winter coat

My Golden Retriever who is Female, loses her long hair?

blow coat

My Golden Retriever who is Female, loses her long hair?

First she may have very dry skin and vitamin E is good for that, if you feed her can food you can put it in her food but you will have to bury it. [ vit E you can get at walmart] We also bury it in peanut butter which is also good for dogs. [2] give her a bath with moistizering cream in the shampoo, again you can get this at walmart, give her a bath once a week, towel dry her[ don't use hair blower/or dryer] it drys out their skin. Hope this is some help to you.

How long do salon hair glazes last?

I just highlighted my hair and it's pretty dry and dull. The color is great, but my hair lost its luster because it's so dried out. I was just wondering how long a professional hair glaze lasts before it fades. Thanks!

How long do salon hair glazes last?

I don't want to look old. Crap--I am of the age (39) where I am noticing hair on my ears. I

I am also losing my hair. And my damn nose hair is starting to show. This is NOT cool. I am NOT aging gracefully. Im freakin' p1ssed off about it.

What can you do for some of this stuff?

I don't want to look old. Crap--I am of the age (39) where I am noticing hair on my ears. I'm not happy.

ROFL!!!!! Honey, just you wait until you get to be my age...

The nose hairs are easy, just clip them (or transplant to your head!). The hair loss, well there are things you can do for that, I understand that massaging your scalp daily brings blood flow to the hair foliciles. Best also to eat right (healthy), exercise, get proper sleep, don't smoke and limit drinking. Live a good life, meaning you care for others, are grateful for what you have, don't live for money, and have a relationship with God.

I don't want to look old. Crap--I am of the age (39) where I am noticing hair on my ears. I'm not happy.

start living better, better diet and exercise. it would have been better if you did this earlier in life. if this doesnt help then your SOL. its just genetics

I don't want to look old. Crap--I am of the age (39) where I am noticing hair on my ears. I'm not happy.

Well it is nothing to worry about. For the hair in your nose, use a nose hair trimmer and set it on medium mode so it won't hurt.USe same thing for your ears except set the nose hair trimmer on low.For your hair loss, use bosley. It works for all men and women. It is normal for all of these changes. It is just because you are getting older.

I don't want to look old. Crap--I am of the age (39) where I am noticing hair on my ears. I'm not happy.

Just clip them. You are not old yet!

I don't want to look old. Crap--I am of the age (39) where I am noticing hair on my ears. I'm not happy.

Gettin old aint so bad....there's lots of things you can do and say that you couldn't -- when you were young.

So.... trim your ear and nose hair.

Don't worry about loosing your hair...if it bothers you -- shave it ALL off.

Enjoy getting older!!!!!

Yorkie poo is scratching all of the time and is starting to lose hair?

I have an 11 yr old yorkie poo, all of a sudden he is scratching all of the time and now I'm finding little clumps of hair all over. I have tried the oatmeal and tee tree shampoo but it hasn't helped. Does anybody have any ideas of what I can do.

Yorkie poo is scratching all of the time and is starting to lose hair?

Allergies! My yorkshire terrier has that same problem and he has to get a shot. But the thing is he didnt start it till he was older. Take him/her to the vet and see if its an allergy.

Yorkie poo is scratching all of the time and is starting to lose hair?

Well...now don't get mad I know this seems obvious but trust me there are some really stupid people out there....Does he have fleas? Ok...If not it is probably skin allergies. Take him to the VET!!

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

Also do people who are on it look ill? Especially when they say that they are having bad reactions to it. Someone I know say they have cancer and are dying very soon but they look very well to everyone. I am not sure if they are really ill or just crying out for attention, callous I know but this person has a history of over dramatising things to get people to feel sorry for them. Lots of what they say just does not ring true somehow and people never believe what they are told by this person unless they see for themselves. All the hair is still there and weight is pilling on and the appetite is a very good one. Any one out there who knows about these things?

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

Yes everybody on chemo does lose their hair and nearly always feel naauseous. I agree with you this person you know is attention seeking

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

well, having a chemo is can be painful in the body or who's under in chemo, they lose hair because they killed the cancer cell in the body and this the side effect of under the chemo and they cannot eat some foods, they can only eat fresh foods. and some time you can feel a little bit weak, Report It

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

and if the client feels itchiness who under the chemo they cannot use the topical ointment, powder and the other anti itchiness that can spread in the body.they can only use water then damp with Report It

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

and the other side effect in the body is nausea and later on it become vomiting and hair loss...but it's all normal. this is only the side effect to reduce and killed the cancer cell in the body. Report It

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

There are different types of chemo someone I know opted to have the chemo where you do not lose your hair and she did look quite pale and tired at times, she had bowel cancer and had her chemotherapy every other week through a tube put in her chest .

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

Its impossible to say. Different cancer is treated with different drugs and strengths of chemo. Please dont judge on appearance. My brother died from cancer and at one stage he had all his hair and was putting weight on - it was because he was on steroids. Not all chemo makes you lose your hair - it would be helpful if you said what type of cancer they have. Most patients having chemo will have a line into either the arm or the chest - the oncology teams put them in to stop the veins collapsing with such harsh treatments xxxx

Just read your edits and being honest it doesnt sound quite right. They wouldnt just have one dose of chemo - they run in courses of chemo - normally 6 or 12 weeks per course, they would have a line in and without doubt they would be having problems with eating at times because chemo makes you sick. Also Bowel and Liver cancer dont just go away or become 'okay' - usually it would be a case of maybe shrinking the tumour to a point where an operation to remove may be viable. Maybe try saying that you are very concerned and ask if you can go with them to one of the appointments. Its the only way you'll get the truth. Maybe suggest contacting the Macmillan nurses - they would normally be involved with such a serious case. I truly hope this person is not lying as its such a wicked disease and not to be used for attention seeking. xxx

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

Not everyone loses hair.

They have ways now that reduces the chances of losing the hair.

this person might not be lying about this, medication now means people can live a acceptable level before the final stages of cancer.

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

Not all chemo's cause hairloss and not all cancer patients look ill. The side effects differ depending on the severity of the drugs and the actual drugs themselves plus everyone handles the toxicities of the chemicals differently. It is possible for people with cancer to still look completely well and still manage a 'normal' life. What sort of cancer do they say they have? and what sort of treatment? i work in oncology and have cancer myself so I could help

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

Yes.....

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

It is poss to hang on to your hair by wearing what s called a cold cap, I believe. And some people do manage to keep quite well during chemo. But if this person IS making it up, then, in a very different way, they are very very sick indeed. No matter what problems people like this have, making up a story like this is just disgusting, and if I were you, I'd make sure they were exposed and ostracised. We ALL need attention sometimes, but to do this is a slap in the face to genuinely ill brave people. So there.

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

Not everyone looses their hair although the majority of peple do.

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

Hi, not everyone on chemo will lose their hair. There is something called a "cold cap" that some people wear when getting their chemo so that they don't lose their hair. I hear it's quite uncomfortable and I don't know if it's available everywhere.

Many people with cancer lose weight but again there are exceptions to the rule, it will depend on where the cancer is, whether they are on steroids etc.

I've also seen people who look quite well up until the cancer is quite advanced, with some people you would never know to look at them that they are ill.

I would really hope that nobody would go to the lengths of trying to convince others that they have cancer and are dying just to get attention, but there are some strange people out there!

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

no my Mum had chemo for bowel cancer and although her hair thinned she didn't really lose enough for it to be that noticeable

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

I have a couple of friends who have gone through chemo and radiotherapy for cancer in the last few weeks. They both looked and felt well before they started treatment but have suffered hugely during the treatment. It would be hard for your friend to hide the pain and sickness if she/he was being treated.

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

Not necessarily. It depends on the drug used and the dosage level. It also depends on a person's individual susceptibility to the drug.

Weight gain and good appetite are often symptoms of high dosages of corticosteroids which are sometimes given to counteract the inflamation of the lung lining some people get with chemo.

Hope that helps

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

yes!!!!!! they lose hair because of the side effect to thier body, having chemo theraphy is so dificult ...... but they can wear wig or hut........

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

My sister in law completed a course of Chemo earlier this year, she lost some of her hair but not all, all her body hair went but she kept her eye lashes, brows and the majority of the hair on her head.

She did look tired a lot of the time, lost her appetite and felt sick a lot but then I had a friend who was treated prior to that and she looked awful all the way through, right from the very start of the treatment.

It is very dependant on the person and their response to treatment.

I worked with a guy who was being treated for leukaemia and you would never have known he was ill, he took his treatment in tablet form so was never away from work.

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

hi, i went through chemo and didn't lose all my hair, it went extremely thin, if you didn't know me you wouldn't notice the difference. mostly i didn't look sick but i was very pale. everyone reacts differently and there are so many drugs for so many types of cancer. doctors told me to plan on losing a lot of weight, i gained weight, i ate like a little pig the whole time. so it is hard to tell what your friend is going through.

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

Every single person on the face of this earth will react to chemotherapy differently.....it is very hard to tell what your body will and will not do.....just stay strong throughout the whole process.

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

Bowel cancer with mets to the liver is very serious, but i think the best thing you can do, is be a good friend and put these thoughts to the back of your mind and focus on being there for them.

In the UK, the normal progression after diagnosis of cancer is a staging CT of the abdomen, pelvis and chest. This is probably where the liver mets would have been identified. If it is a rectal cancer, an MRI of the pelvis would also be arranged to better stage the local growth.

It is standard that if the patient is fit enough (and it would appear he/she is from what you have said) that they would have the primary bowel cancer resected regardless of the mets. Sometimes a course of chemoradiotherapy is under taken for rectal cancers, and occassionally chemo only, although the aim is merely to prolong life, there is little hope to resect the tumour.

Post bowel resection, a course of chemotherapy will be given (although some patients with resectable liver disease will have a second operation within weeks, without chemotherapy), which in the UK is now Oxaliplatin, with or without 5FU. Results on this have been very encouraging, with considerable shrinkage of the tumour in many cases, and complete regression in a few.

Oxaliplatin, and 5FU will make you feel very unwell, and it is unlikley the person would be singing and dancing, but everyone reacts differently. Not being an oncologist, i would take the word of the oncology nurse on here that reaction depends on the person, as does their tumour reaction to the drug.

My daughter has been getting chemo for two and a half months now. Her hair has thinned, and she hasn't lost any weight, aside from when they removed the tumor and the kidney which weighed a couple of pounds. She's a bit pale, but only because she is currently anemic and will probably be getting a blood transfusion soon. Aside from that, you really can't tell just by glancing at her. Her hair is a lot thinner from my perspective, because I see her every day, but to others, maybe not so much. Everyone who gets chemo usually will have a port placed on them somewhere in the body. This is because they get frequent needle sticks, and because chemotherapy that is given through a vein will actually burn a vein, so they have to put in into one of the larger veins, like an artery in order to not destroy veins. Adults sometimes can get chemo in pill form, it really just depends on what kind of chemotherapy drugs the doctor's have put them on. All in all though, I say it doesn't really matter if this person has cancer or not. If you don't like them, don't hang around them, if you do, then hang out with that person. Having cancer doesn't make you any more special than anyone else. I fully understand why people will fake cancer, you would be amazed the things that happen when people find out your child has cancer, I have to imagine it is the same for an adult. Giving someone a gift, money, some special priveledge isn't going to make their cancer go away or make their life worth living should they die. The only truly valuable thing you can give a cancer patient is prayers. My daughter has received toys, presents, money, blankets, been given special priveledges, eats as much junk food as she wants (could account for the no weight loss, lol), but the best thing she has received through this whole ordeal is prayers from other people.

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

Not everyone will lose their hair. It really depends on the meds they are being given. And no not everyone will look ill. My son did not look sick (other than being a little pale) while he was on treatment. Once again it depends on the meds, the strength of the meds and the person.

If you acquaintance is on chemo they will know the names of the meds they are being given. Ask and then you can do a search for those meds. They may have a port-a-cath or broviac too.

The one thing that makes me wonder is that you say this person is gaining weight, while I am sure that can happen I have not seen it. Most, that I know of, either lose weight or maintain it. Chemo really speeds up your metabolism.

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

no depends on circumstances ie disage how strong the person is trust me i no my dad past away in october this year lung cancer he really suffered so i was up hospital a long time months so i learn ed a lot about the big c

Does everyone on chemo lose their hair?

My daughter has been through it all. She is a beautiful child. The first time she didn't lose her hair (2 1/2 yrs of chemo) she got some thinning spots on top. She always looked like she wasn't sick except when first diagnosed until her treatment was underway and controlling the cancer. Then she went in remission after a month on heavy chemo protocol. continued her 2 1/2 yr protocol was off chemo for a year. (steroids are commonly used in cancer treatment and they make you gain a lot of weight) When you go off them it gradually comes off. It takes a long time though. They make you eat like crazy, like you can't control it at all you are just starving all the time.) After her year of we thought a cure, she relapsed. Heavier chemo again 6 months until we found a donor and she had a bone marrow transplant. It depends on the chemo protocol (every kind of cancer has a number of different treatment protocols) Every hospital varies. She could very well be telling the truth. If she was making this up, that is pretty said and she needs a lot of help. You didn't mention her age. You could ask mom in around about way to see if you can help her in any way due to her illness if she is living home. Or, someone close to them, boyfriend, girlfriend, aunt, uncle, sibling, neighbor, etc. I'm sure if they are really sick someone related or very close to them know about it. You can't really hide all your treatment visits or paraphernalia, medications etc for too long. Hope you get to the bottom of it.

Help!! What can I do to stop my hair from falling??

I had aperm 2 weeks ago, and a dye 1 week ago. ever since the dye I started to lose alot of hair. When I shower about 100 hairs come out. I don't wan to go bald, Is there something I can use to stop hair lost. I'm only 16, so I don't think is because of my age%26gt;

Help!! What can I do to stop my hair from falling??

TRY NOT TO WASH IT EVERY DAY. THE NEXT TIME U DO WASH IT LEAVEE THE CONDITIONER ON FOR ABOUT 20-30 MINUTES RINSE IT OUT AND LET YOUR HAIR AIR DRY.AVOID BRAIDS, AS THAT PUTS PRESSURE ON YOUR HAIR AND WILL MAKE IT FALL OUT MORE. ALSO, WHILE LETTING IT AIR DRY PUT A MOISTURIZER ON UR HAIR SO IT WON'T BE BRITTLE.

Help!! What can I do to stop my hair from falling??

whoa! youre never supposed to perm and dye your hair that close together! do not blow dry or straighten your hair, do as much as you can to try not to do anything to it. try not to wash it everyday.

Help!! What can I do to stop my hair from falling??

When I was also 16 I went ahead and changed my hair colour to blond after I had permed my hair less than three weeks before. To cut long story short, I had to go to the barber shop and have them cut it ALL off because the dye completely destroyed my hair. To tell you the truth it wasn't all that bad because I was starting over with healthy hair. The only bad part is my hair never got back it's fullness, at least now I know better.

Coarse hair, dry skin, sunken eyes..Are these some of the benefits of losing a bit of weight?

It sounds to me like you need to add more oils to your diet. I know this sounds like you're defeating the purpose, but you're really not. You're body need "good" fat such as olive oil, fish oil you can get from eating salmon and oils you can get from eating almonds. If you're on a low-fat diet you might want to try adding Omega-6 pills you can get from Walmart or any Health food store. Fish oil pills or Flaxseed oil work well too without adding extra calories. Good luck!

Coarse hair, dry skin, sunken eyes..Are these some of the benefits of losing a bit of weight?

benefits.... um, those are things that make u look like ure dying....

Coarse hair, dry skin, sunken eyes..Are these some of the benefits of losing a bit of weight?

Not normally. You probably have some kind of disease.

Coarse hair, dry skin, sunken eyes..Are these some of the benefits of losing a bit of weight?

It sounds like you are doing it too quickly, or maybe you have some other health problem that has yet to be diagnosed.

Coarse hair, dry skin, sunken eyes..Are these some of the benefits of losing a bit of weight?

If your not getting enough vitamins, they sure are.

Coarse hair, dry skin, sunken eyes..Are these some of the benefits of losing a bit of weight?

r u sure ur not ill?

Coarse hair, dry skin, sunken eyes..Are these some of the benefits of losing a bit of weight?

no ur dehidrated...ur need 2 drink more water

Coarse hair, dry skin, sunken eyes..Are these some of the benefits of losing a bit of weight?

if you are starving yourself perhaps....

Coarse hair, dry skin, sunken eyes..Are these some of the benefits of losing a bit of weight?

Youre loosing a bit too much weight, from the sounds of it...

And no, it is not a benefit of loosing weight, not by killing yourself to look 'okay' to other people according to your preceptions...

Not worth it...

Coarse hair, dry skin, sunken eyes..Are these some of the benefits of losing a bit of weight?

You need to eat nutritious meals and snacks to lose weight. What you are describing is a result of losing weight due to lack of vitamins and a healthy diet.

Coarse hair, dry skin, sunken eyes..Are these some of the benefits of losing a bit of weight?

could be dehydration or lacking in vitamins...i would ask your gp ?

Coarse hair, dry skin, sunken eyes..Are these some of the benefits of losing a bit of weight?

Not benefits. That's what happens if you lose to much weight in an unhealthy way. You need be care full, and make sure you take your vitamins.

Coarse hair, dry skin, sunken eyes..Are these some of the benefits of losing a bit of weight?

In over forty years of professional health service, I've never had a patient who experienced those signs and symptoms as a result of losing weight. No, not a single one. Sorry, but those aren't going to serve you as excuses for not trying harder to lose weight.

Coarse hair, dry skin, sunken eyes..Are these some of the benefits of losing a bit of weight?

actually you have described a corpse perhaps too much weight loss

Coarse hair, dry skin, sunken eyes..Are these some of the benefits of losing a bit of weight?

You are joking right? Benefits?! It's a very bad sign not good! It means you aren't getting enough nutrients into your body or fluids by the sounds of it and it could be serious. People with anorexia also suffer these symptoms. I hope this doesn't apply to you as you would need psychiatric help urgently. Please be more specific.

Coarse hair, dry skin, sunken eyes..Are these some of the benefits of losing a bit of weight?

This to ME is a sign of thyroid problem get to your doctor now and get checked. Please! In the mean time for the dry skin, try sweet almond oil it is GREAT!!! good luck to you!

If i dye my hair a lighter shade...will it reduce the bit of scalp u can see as ive lost hair?

my hair is dark and my scalp light so if i dyed it a lighter shade..say from black/dark brown[as it is now] to honey or light brown shades...will this reduce the effect of me lukin baldish will it make it less obvious

If i dye my hair a lighter shade...will it reduce the bit of scalp u can see as ive lost hair?

i have really fine hair which is naturally dark brown so you can clearly see how fine it is. In the past when i have dyed my hair lighter shades like golden brown i loved it because my scalp showed through much less. So i would say its a good idea, but dont go too much lighter than your natural colour as it may not suit you. maybe get advice from a hairdresser. Best of luck

If i dye my hair a lighter shade...will it reduce the bit of scalp u can see as ive lost hair?

i think you should seek the advise of the hairdresser

the blode could make it less noticeable but could damage it more

If i dye my hair a lighter shade...will it reduce the bit of scalp u can see as ive lost hair?

it will be less obvious, but if you already have this kind of problems, every dye will weaken your hair even more.you must avoid this sort of agressive styling.

If i dye my hair a lighter shade...will it reduce the bit of scalp u can see as ive lost hair?

it might possibly, but if you add chemicals like hair dye to your head then that isn't going to help it much and may even make you hair fall out even more. Go to a hair dresser or even a doctor and ask them what can be done.
