Because they're so darn tiny! They do fall out, though. Normally you don't notice when your eyelashes fall out either, unless it gets in your eye or someone sees it on your cheek.

Well, that is not so true. Ever notice pubic hairs around the tub? Actually that could be underarm hairs or chest hairs.

And, I hate to break it too you but women (don't know about men) go bald in there pubic region as they get older.

"Of all I've lost I miss my mind and my pubic hair the most"

quote by The Cat or was it Mae West I am unsure.

Good luck on your answers.

Why do people lose noticable hair off their heads but not from other body areas?

Because your hair dose not have much heat sourounding it,though your otherparts like the private parts are.Your middle part when your legs are closed your underarms because your arms are down. When the hair on there has heat they get stronger nad thicker so it's harder for them to to come off because of the thickness.

The reason why we lose hair in our head

DHT and Androgen Receptors

Testosterone is an androgen hormone which is essential for healthy development of the body and maintenance of the secondary sexual differences between men and women. Testosterone is converted by an enzyme ( 5-alpha reductase) to form dihytestosterone or DHT. This conversion occurs in peripheral tissues and results in higher levels of DHT in the scalp and in the blood. DHT is thought to play a major part in the development of androgenetic alopecia.

From puberty onwards, androgens interact with the genetically determined androgen-sensitive hair follicles, resulting in a sequence of events. This process includes gradual miniaturisation of the hair follicles, alteration of the hairgrowth cycle and eventually results in small thin hair follicles - the patient will experience thinning and loss of hair. To alter the process and redress the balance of hair loss, products that inhibit DHT production, or interfere with the binding of the DHT, along with products that promote hair growth can be used.

Inflammation

When we have the situation detailed above our bodies react by considering these hair follicles as foreign objects that need to be dealt with! This is an auto-immune response. The body then rejects these hair follicles and this exacerbates the situation. Symptoms include itching scalp, tingling and inflammation of the scalp. You should consider the use of a shampoo that treats this irrespective of the hair loss solution you choose.

The reason why Pubic hair doesn't fall

Pubic hair is the hair in your genital area, including the frontal genital area, the crotch, and it can sometimes be found at top of the inside of your legs, forming the area known as the pubic region. Pubic hair grows as a result of the androgens (steroid hormones) on the skin that are present in your genital area. Therefore making your pubic hair an example of androgenic hair, which is grows only after puberty and is different from the hair on your head and other parts of your body. It is important to realize that pubic hair is different from the hair on your head and so when it comes to the idea of greying of the hair you should realize that this would occur differently in both.

Hair colour changes are a natural part of life and it can be one of the most obvious signs of aging. Hair colour is caused by a pigment known as melanin, which is produced by hair follicles. Most of the time with aging your hair follicles will produce less melanin. More specifically melanocytes, which are present in both the skin (epidermal) and in your hair (bulbar), are what give both your skin and your hair its colour. Bulbar melanocytes determine how dark or light your hair colour is. The activity of these melanocytes can be hereditary or affected by disease but its actions are not affected by stress. So your kids, job, or spouse stressing you out can not cause your hair to turn grey. Bulbar melanogenic cells (area where hairs stem from) actually produce two different types of melanocytes.
