I'm losing a lot of hair and my regular Dr. can't figure out why. What kind of Dr do i nee

I have had blood tests but it shows nothing I have taken vitimins. i'm shedding worse than my dogs. It's not breaking off it's come out at the scalp. NO bald spots yet.

I'm losing a lot of hair and my regular Dr. can't figure out why. What kind of Dr do i need to see.?

a dermatologist would be the best start. they can diagnose any skin condition that may be causing this and start a treatment plan. good luck!

Have you consulted a dermatologist? It could be a skin condition. What about a cosmotologist? I know mine knows a great deal about caring for the scalp. He/She may have excellent suggestions.

Good luck.

i'm sure your dr would have covered this, but are you on any medication? My stomach acid pills caused me to shed hair like crazy--notbald spots but fallen hair all over the place and it looks thinner. Other meds can do this too.

A lot of times you can be perfectly healthy, but under a lot of stress or living with a great deal of anxiety. These things can increase and/or change the amount of hair you loose each day and also effect the normal growth cycle, which includes new hair growing it at it's normal rate. It can also make your hair dryer, oilier and even thinner.

Now, if none of that is the problem, then I would start with a referral to a good Dermatologist to check the condition of your scalp and I would talk to your current hairdresser to see if they can refer you to someone that might be able to help you stop your hair from thinning and falling out.

Loosing hair is normal, we all loose 100's of hairs each day, however if it isn't growing back in or it's falling out in huge clumps you may need treatments to correct and/or prevent this.

Most people lose hair gradually. A little from one spot this year, a little from that spot next year. Less commonly people lose all their hair at once. That might be the situation.

There is a difference between "male pattern balding" (what I think you have) and something called alopecia, which is a more serious condition. If you want to make sure you don't have it look up hair loss in the yellow pages and find a doctor. Make sure you are not calling a place that sells hair transplants. Stay away from that.

There is no cure for baldness, and virtually all the "hair regrowth" products out there are worthless. They're expensive and they don't grow much hair at all. And the few people that do grow some hair lose it again as soon as they stop using the lotion.

When the time comes, shave your head, put on a pair of dark sunglasses, and go to a party.

Have you tried taking Flax seed Oil pills? They did a major decrease to my hairs falling out.

I have gastric bypass surgery.

I lost A LOT of hair

you need to take zinc. DO NOT overdose on it.

hair follicles are on a 3 month cycle. take zinc fine but it will take 3 months for your hair follicles to regenerate.

Perhaps you have been on a diet?

regardless.try the zinc.

take too much and you end up with a serious itchy rash.

This is typically a vitamin and mineral deficiency. Your doctor is not going to have a clue about nutrition, he just treats symptoms and has no training in nutrition.

If you are taking synthetic vitamins and expecting them to help you, forget it. They will only help you a little at first, but then they will damage your DNA and actually shorten your life. Statistically, synthetic multi-vitamin tablets will shorten your life by about 5% compared to people who do not take them. Synthetic vitamins are not vitamins, they are chemical activators and they do not nourish your body. They are made from non living sources, like Thiamine that is made from coal tar. Ascorbic acid sold as vitamin C won't even cure scurvy.

A nutritional therapist can test you and tell you what nutrients you are deficient in. Typically losing hair is a "B" vitamin deficiency and also a problem with your adrenal glands, but mineral deficiencies and not getting the right kind of fats in your diet, in general, will create this problem.

My suggestion is that you take some supplements that will really work and not those bottled vitamins you buy in the store that are totally worthless and actually damage your DNA.

Go to: www.healthline.cc (not .com) and order the following:

( I purchase a lot of product from these people because I have found the products to be very high quality and they really work as they say they do.)

Super food trio (ask for capsule form, not powder). Take plenty of these three items and within a week you should start to see a difference. These nutrients will supply you with most of the ingredients you need to sustain life. You need to change your diet as well. There are many cultures in the world where people do not get sick like Americans, where they have perfect teeth (yes and even without fluoride toothpaste! lol), great bodies, no degenerative diseases, no heart disease, etc. eat lots of saturated fats from animals living off grass and grazing free range (not grain fed Angus Beef), lots of fermented foods and lots of dairy products from animals living off grass and grazing, grains that are not grown on dead fertilized soils like in America, but grown on rich, fertile soils with no sprays.

America now ranks 24th in longevity in the world. That means that 23 other countries in the world now live longer than Americans. They should send missionaries and teach Americans how to grow and prepare foods.

3 out of 4 Americans now die of heart disease. Heart disease was almost unknown before 1921 when the first case was recorded in America. This of course was before pasteurizing milk, grain feeding beef cattle %26amp; dairy cows, vegetable oils, hydrogenation, salt with all the nutrients removed, processed foods, cheeses made in one day instead of aging 90 days or more, before fluoridating waters that keep people from absorbing iodine, vaccinations containing mercury, farm raised fish rich in mercury, and insecticides made from nerve gas, and soils that were rich in organic nutrients instead of some man made chemicals, and of course, before genetic engineering like what is being done by Monsanto and a few other corps.

Blood tests will not tell you the health of your organs or how you are digesting. Since 50% of all the nutrients that were in our food just 25 years ago are gone and our so called experts advising people to do insane things instead of truly fixing the problems, you have a very difficult task, especially with all the expensive marketing being thrown at you with misinformation.

It's no wonder your Doctor cannot figure out what's wrong, he is not knowledgeable about nutrition. It takes years of study to wade through the garbage and find the truth. The best place to start is to NOT listen to the studies being done by so called scientists because most of them are funded by companies with agendas gear toward profit, not health.

Look at cultures that have been successful in health. Start there. Look at Dr. Weston A. Price's discoveries in the early 30's when he traveled the world and found healthy people and studied their diets in detail.

good luck to you
