My mom said that it is on his head. That it looks like somebody shaved him. He is an outside cat which I don't agree with my aunt's choice to let him run. I keep my two boy cats inside. They are safer. Maybe somebody did shave him. But my question is that could he have an infection or a disease that has caused this?
I have a stupid question. My aunt has a male persian cat. He is losing his hair.?

Could be fleas, they itch real bad and pull hair out from the irritation. Or it could be ring worm. I would get some Front line and give him the treatment, it the hair does not start to grow back and it gets worse, take him to the vet.

Could have. I had a cat that had severe allergies that caused her to lose hair in spots all over her body. Take him to the vet IF it seems to be bothering him. Otherwise just leave it be.

They say stress can cause a cat to lose his hair.
My friend just looked this up on google and found that out. We think that may have happened to her cat because she had been giving a lot of attention to her dog who had just had some procedure done at the vet.

The cat's food could also be causing his hair loss. I recommend switching to IAMS and seeing if that helps. My vet recommends this brand as well. Also, a long haired cat should never be left outdoors, as they are not bred for the conditions of this environment and are very high maintenance. A vet consultation is the best choice for diagnosis and treatment. Hope this helps!

That is not a stupid question at all. Thank you for caring and for keeping your cats safe inside.
The hairloss, Ringworm sounds most likely. It's very common and very often the cause of hairloss in cats allowed to roam.Look up ringworm on cats and ask you mom if it looks the same.

Could also be Allergies, Fleas, Mange or Mites.
In any of those cases... your going to need a vet to treat it.

do whatever the vet doctor tell you to do, and get the cat treated.
