Hmmm..... I was going through the same thing at one point in my life but I was little older than you are. I went to dermatologists and did everything possible that I could but nothing helped. But then I stopped worrying about it and I noticed that my hair were getting better.

So it all comes down to stress and your eating habits. You should maintain a normal diet rich in protein and somewhat fats.

I am not familiar with Finasteride, but I know a little of Rogaine(minoxidil), it usually works well in the early stages of balding however once you begin using and hair starts to regrow, you must continue use if you stop your new hair growth will come out also. I know there are many new topical solutions out there that are suppose to be better than Rogaine now. You may want to check into them before starting on an oral tablet re: side effects and all

I'm balding too, my friend. I'm 38 though. I started losing my hair at 17. I had a friend who used Rogaine. It made a difference but it really wasn't what he wanted. He also developed the worst case of dandruff I have ever seen.

I hated watching him go through this because I was actually considering trying Rogaine. Because of what it did to his hair and scalp I decided against it.

There is no cure for baldness. You are going to lose your hair, anyway. Even the best treatments are risky, because you have to take medications that messes with the natural balance of chemicals in your body. Or you have to go get the rag-doll plugs. -i cant give you a clear picture, but i know that hair loss, especially in women, is best treated quickly and strongly, you dont want to be faffing about with over the counter stuff, or 'herbal treatments' while you loose more and more hair. if it really worked, they wouldnt be selling it over the counter. the doctor will be a lot more helpful, give you more effective drugs, and may identify an underlying cause, that treating would solve the hairloss problem.

I am a young female and have been losing hair since I was 16. The problem has only gotten worse in the past 6 years and I don't know how to stop it. I have a nervous disposition and get stressed out frequently. I also have suffered from hormonal inbalance since I was 14.

I have been dealing with thinning hair myself the last couple years and I have searched for ways to help it and nothings worked.

I know stimulating hair growth from massaging the scalp helps and be genital when brushing and towel drying you hair, not to pull more out.

Find a good conditioner that is light weight, I have been using pantene.

Vitamins is a good option, E is good for hair condition. I think vitamins B is good too.

To fix fly-aways I use a leave in conditioner lotion that adds lots of shine, but use it very sparingly, being careful not to weight your hair down.

I would use the rogaine if it would help, I wish I could find a way to stop it, but now I have accepted that all I can do is learn how best to maintain my hear to look my best.
